Masayoshi Matsumura graduated from Kyoto Pharmaceutical University and joined the pharmaceutical company, Teikoku Seiyaku Co., Ltd in 1972. He had managed the company as a board member since 1973 and as COO since 1975 until 2000.
He was responsible for research and development of the first generation transdermal poultice (cold and hot hydrophilic patch) and the second generation transdermal poultice (hydrophilic patch including NSAIDs) for the ethical pharmaceutical market. He also took the initiative in forming alliances with pharmaceutical companies involving sales, expansion of business overseas and development of new business. And Teikoku Seiyaku group grew up to current annual sales of 40 billion yen from annual sales of less than 200 million yen in 1972.
He used to be a vice president, Teikoku Seiyaku Co., Ltd, president and CEO, Ohta Seiyaku Co., Ltd, president and CEO, Teikoku Medix Co., Ltd, president and CEO, Teikoku Kanpo Seiyaku Co., Ltd.
2002- Established MEDRx and became president and CEO, MEDRx Co., Ltd
